Our English-speaking driver will be waiting for you at Amalfi port on the quay, bearing a name plate with your name on it. After a welcome greeting the tour will start.

Leaving the port behind you, you will head towards an “earthly paradise”, characterized by the scent of lemons, the sweet and sour smell of fruit blossom, crystal sea and a series of marvellous hamlets and towns which line the entire Sorrentine peninsular and the Amalfi Coast.

We will lead you along a very narrow winding road taking us to the elegant Ravello: a rural town perched high upon a plateau overlooking Minori and Maiori. Ravello is world famous for its breathtaking views, natural beauty and ancient monuments and its charming Villas and gardens: Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo. Your driver will be happy to recommend a good local restaurant where you can enjoy tasty local dishes.

After Ravello, you will be driven to the ancient Herculaneum. The discovery of Herculaneum dates back to1709 when the Austrian Prince Elboeuf, commissioned a well to be dug in his garden. In 1738 King Carlo di Borbone ordered the first official excavations – aimed at revealing the magnificent city which still remains partially buried under the modern urban town. The Villa dei Papiri is a fine example as it is only reached by a narrow underground tunnel. Again approx. 2 hours are required to visit this site.

After Herculaneum, you will be driven to encountering the charming Positano, perched on the mountainside and overlooking the clear crystal sea. You will be able to walk along the narrow streets which lead down to the main beach. The main monuments are the church of Saint Mary Theresa of the Assumption, with its beautiful maiolica cupola and the Saracen tower. Not to be underestimated is shopping in Positano, and excellent gastronomy.
At the end of this wonderful day out you will be driven back to your ship.
