Our English-speaking drivers will drive you to Pompeii. Once you have left the port you will proceed towards ancient Pompeii: considered the best Roman archaeological site destroyed by Vesuvius in the eruption of 79 AD.
An estimated 2 hours should be adequate for a good visit of the site.

Afterwards we will head for Mount Vesuvius, taking a steep uphill road. The crater is reached on foot, at 1,282m above sea level, approx. 30 -40 mins. Its most famous eruption is that of 24 August 79AD, in which Pompei; Herculaneum and Oplontis were destroyed.
The UNESCO has renamed Vesuvius: "World Reserve of the Biosphere".

After the visit to Mount Vesuvius we will drive towards ancient Herculaneum. The discovery of Herculaneum dates back to1709 when the Austrian Prince Elboeuf, commissioned a well to be dug in his garden. In 1738 King Carlo di Borbone ordered the first official excavations – aimed at revealing the magnificent city which still remains partially buried under the modern urban town. The Villa dei Papiri is a fine example as it is only reached by a narrow underground tunnel.
Again approx. 2 hours are required to visit this site.
At the end of this wonderful day out you will be driven back to your accomodation.

I and my family booked a tour with Barbaro Car Service. We arrived in the port of Naples by cruise \" Carnival Magic \". Fabio our driver, we drIve along the roads of the Amalfi Coast and then on to Pompeii. We traveled in a beautiful newly built Mercedes Minivan. Fabio was very good driver, it was safe, professional, and his English was a good level. Recommend this company.

Sergio collected us from Naples Airport and took us in his beautiful Mercedes to Positano. A wonderful comfortable and stress free journey in considerable style with Sergio providing a guided tour and history lesson on route, making the journey really interesting. He was at the airport to greet us, smartly dressed in a suit, the car was immaculate and the services he provided really set the standard for the rest of our holiday. Having enjoyed a wonderful 7 days holiday Sergio collected from the hotel at exactly the pre-arranged time and took us back to Naples for the flight back to the UK. We found that the cost was of course higher than that of using public transport but the joy of that stress free journey .......no contest. We really do recommend using Sergio ....it is more than worth it. Fantastic service.
